First Nations Kitchen

First Nations Kitchen is a ministry of All Saints Episcopal Church in Minneapolis. The ministry is designed to provide a healthy meal in the traditions of the indigenous people. Every Sunday evening volunteers from the All Saints community and from partnering parishes prepare, cook and serve a meal to several dozen individuals from the surrounding community.

The vision of First Nations Kitchen is as follows:

  • Offers intentional hospitality to both the indigenous and neighborhood community.
  • Provides an opportunity for the indigenous and neighborhood communities to get to know the community of All Saints’ and have people from the community feel comfortable here.
  • Extends fellowship around a meal that is celebratory in nature and conveys joy, fun, warmth, and abundance.
  • Provides very high quality, healthy, organic traditional food.
  • Models environmentally friendly, sustainable practices.
  • Invites area Episcopal churches to work with us: specifically to build relationships, exchange resources, and partner in mission.

On October 10, 2010, we have the opportunity to partner with St. Mary Episcopal Church, St. Paul, and the people of All Saints in this great ministry of sharing a meal and the joy of Christ’s presence.
